I’m gay. I just accepted to myself last year that I am gay. I am lonely. I don’t wanna be out. I just wanna have gay friends that I can hangout with regularly.
Yes, Andrew is right. You could also ask your new friends who know you are gay to not “out” you when you are in public, or around your relatives or co-workers. If they are true friends, they will respect your wishes to be closeted, because your sexuality is no one else’s business unless you want it to be.
Closet tip:
It’s also handy to have an alias or nickname that you go by in the gay community, just to cut down on the risk of someone inadvertently posting your real name in a public place (like on an internet social site.)
