Cirque Du Soleil Discovery
For several years I had heard of Cirque du Soleil. And every time someone told me about his experience performance art with this unique and bold, my curiosity reached new heights. Usually when this occurs with a book, movie or play, I tend to be disappointed by actual experience, because of course that built the real product of epic proportions in my mind.
Not so in this case! While in Las Vegas recently, I was finally able to experience first hand the production of Cirque du Soleil's Mystère, and was surprised by the exceptional creativity, and execution of this wonderful show.
The most fabulous show on earth, I read this description of the circus as both a reference to the magical aura of this place of entertainment but as a product of culture after the Second World War with the technology of the saturation of entertainment, I have never felt the fear described in the literature to say that somebody growing in the Great Depression would have thought filtered through the canvas of a tent that housed a large lady or man tattooed.
I was conscious during execution I did not know what kind of childish fear in some time. From the opening or Taiko, our senses are overloaded with artists crawling on the walls as lizards. Jumping acrobats, birds' beaks facing large babies and street clowns irreverently thrown popcorn to the audience and pulled the people from their seats.
The costumes and colors were provocative. The landscape of high technology has overcome all the special effects that could be used in a video production, and physical abilities of the performers I was surprised. I literally could not take my eyes off the big man from hand to hand, siblings Mark and Paul Lorador Portugal, who took stock of hands and body would not have thought possible without the scope of the camera, if they had not been close enough to reach out and touch almost. His grace and strength seemed superhuman balance, every muscle in the human body works in harmony with each other.
Then there were the Chinese Poles, Aerial Cube, the elastic wall Korea Trampoline and Fast Track, and an antenna high bar. And this is only a half dozen productions which are also subject to different and imaginative. Only in Las Vegas, you can see "O", "Love", "K?", "Zumanity" and "Mystery." And there are eight other productions that travel around the world.
It all started in 1982 in Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec, an area popular with rural charm artists with art collectors and tourists. A group of young street performers, the Club des Talons Hauts (the High Heels Club) have started to incubate the idea of organizing an organizer of the festival, Amusement Park Baie-Saint-Paul, who was the forerunner of what became the Cirque du Soleil. Guy Laliberté, an accordionist, stilt and fire eater, immersed in companies to organize and plan the growth of the young company, creating one of the most amazing entertainment to the world stage.
Yes I encourage you to attend this performance, this fabulous show. Put it in your list One of the things you want to do in the coming months. You will not be disappointed.
