PHOTO club … LAS VEGAS ….?
I am interested in entering the photography club and I want to learn more in the industry. How you actually get gigs? To build a portfolio, "I can take my digital SLR camera in a box at night? I have to talk to the owners? I moved to Las Vegas and his club is almost scence # 1 in the nation, I want to get into that. How is the night club photography market in Las Vegas? At present, what I'm looking forward to a lot of images is to build my portfolio. I just need help. In addition, this type of SLR cameras and lenses will be appropriate for an amateur? I'm working on a tight budget. I do not expect such a claim until you can build a decent portfolio unless the opportunity presents itself to me. Thanks much.
You will have to meet the director of each club and 1) get permission to film at his club and 2) to decide the best clubs and lighting design in lounges. A tight budget can not help you get started. You will spend about two hours or more in each club to obtain a good image of the reference files. You want to find points of view to film different scenes, evidence of external flash and a flash, the test of ambient lighting, make sure your camera can take 3200 or 6400 ISO with minimal image noise. Las Vegas is a puzzle without a "in" with this scene. I have a representative who can get into some clubs get when celebrities are on hand, but I'm sure he could not go through a door to the popular clubs. What You Need? A good digital SLR has excellent performance in low light and high ISO settings, and probably a 24-70 mm f / 2.8 (not cheap) to match the external flash, etc. I think it's looking around $ 1700 for the camera, another $ 2000 for the lens and another $ 500 for support and flash flash flash. As you can see, your initial investment is not what you call "budget." You call yourself a fan, but going into a field full of pros and shooting clubs are not using "amateur" cameras. A little input SLR rebellious or just to say that level is not a serious competitor, no matter how good you are as a photographer. You work in a world of "bling" and you have your own. When you write your budget, remember to include a good laptop, desktop, and Adobe Lightroom 3. I guess it from six to ten cards of 4 GB of memory.
