Dr. Strangelove or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb-Kubrick 1964 5. Polanski's Chinatown-1974 6. The conversation, Coppola 1974 7. Goodfellas, Scorsese, 1990 8. North by Northwest, Hitchcock 1959 24. Boogie Nights, Anderson, 1997 25. Rear Window, Hitchcock, 1954, I tried to choose films of all time but obviously I am a child of 60 and 70 for 17 films from at least until late 1960. I'm so young I did not have time to see 60 films and several of the 70 films when they were released, but later experience in television or video or DVD. It is also my eternal pain that I saw for first 9 films when released in the theater, those are the 1980. The remaining 8 made before 1960 are gems. I guess I'm not so familiar with 30, 40 and 50 films American, but how little has changed my life are brilliant films. I sense a horror film are shown only because I love horror films, is I only hate the bad and most of them are very bad. Only two westerns, if these two are perhaps the best movies ever made. 18, Class I, as works plays, although they all have comics, of mystery and adventure elements in them. You can see that love Scorsese, Wilder, Coppola and Spielberg. I feel like I'd rather for Kubrick, Arthur Penn, Peckinpah, David Lean, Polanski, and Howard Hawks. I think Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson continue to make great movies. I guess is clear that while other directors such as Hitchcock has to be my favorite, or at least the one I most respect. Probably the best director who ever lived in my opinion.
